Summary:

This position assists the Executive Vice President in overseeing the operations within the Reentry Services division. This position is directly responsible for the leadership and operations of all In-Prison Treatment Programs. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for all in-prison programs to ensure operational success to include the full implementation and sustainability of best practices and evidence based practices in all programs.
  • Oversee the process for identifying on-going and future programmatic needs and develop comprehensive strategies to meet those needs.
  • Manage compliance to all Corporate and Divisional Policies, Practices and Initiatives with attention on the following areas: Continuum of Care, Compliance, Contracts, Finance, HR, PREA, HIPAA, Business Development, Marketing, Security and IT.
  • Ensure that Local Policies and Procedures are in place that comply with Corporate and Divisional Polices and ensure that local policies address contract and operational standards.
  • Works closely with the Business Development group to identify and research new business opportunities, and provides support for the Proposals Department in preparing responses to RFPs, as needed.
  • Maintain personal relationships with key customers to support appropriate customer attention and knowledge of our organization.
  • Manage the direct reporting of Area Managers as well as other positions as assigned.
  • Implement and manage a strategic goals and outcomes driven system that focuses all operations management on customers, employees, business processes and achievement of financial and growth targets.
  • Build successful working relationships among key corporate departments to fulfill corporate standards and to ensure that corporate departments understand the needs and business drivers of the Reentry Division.
  • Maintain considerable knowledge of GEO Care and US Corrections business to leverage relationships and opportunities, company brand strategies, business processes, and operational efficiencies.
  • Maintain regular on-site presence at facilities to support customer contract, staff relationships and input and reinforce healthy culture.
  • Plans and directs operations and administrative activities in the region including long-range goals, strategies, and objectives.
  • Assists in the preparation of program budget requests, overseeing the preparation of program management and productivity reports or studies, and the planning, developing, and operating special facilities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required in criminal justice, social welfare or related field. Strong clinical background with appropriate license and or certifications to support training and experience.
  • At least ten (10) years of experience managing community based programs at a senior level.
  • Have thorough knowledge and understanding of cognitive behavioral therapy programs.
  • Must possess an extensive knowledge of prison programming and evidence-based research.
  • Ability to travel frequently with overnight stays. Use of standard office equipment such as computer, keyboard, telephone, fax machine and copier.
  • Valid state driver’s license and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle to travel to field offices for audits.
  • Ability to both write and speak effectively. Ability to write comprehensive reports.  Ability to make presentations to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to meet and deal effectively with the public and with governmental personnel.
  • Working knowledge of criminal justice market, system, customers and court procedures.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities appropriately.
  • Ability to perform financial management and budgeting.
