This position transports and assists in supervision of clients.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drives vehicles for clients, staff members, and administrative support to and from the program or facility for business related appointments according to assigned schedule.
  • Documents and reports any auto accidents or any damage incurred during transport activities.
  • Provides security, observes client behavior, provides basic emergency medical treatment such as first aid and documents any significant behavioral incidents during transport activities.
  • Assists qualified staff member in supervising the security and conduct of clients in rooms, during group meetings, meals, hygiene, at recreation, during visitations, on work detail assignments, and other assignments and may include program or facility specific room- checks.
  • Observes client conduct and behavior to prevent disturbances and escapes from program or facility.
  • Escorts clients to and from various locations such as visiting areas, medical offices, and religious services.
  • Assists in implementing clients’ individualized treatment plans and specific program or facility rules and behavior standards.
  • Assists in facilitating group meetings including issue specific groups.
  • Assists in suppressing and controlling circumstances which may occur within the program or facility.
  • Serves as a role model, provides positive reinforcement, interacts meaningfully with clients, and observes client behavior and intervenes appropriately.
  • Supports the company’s philosophy and mission and promotes the Seven Key Principles of care.
  • Assures and monitors client location and movement.
  • Communicates effectively with staff, clients and with support services and customers.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information as it relates to client information.
  • Maintains Safety & Security of Clients & Facility.
  • Demonstrates appropriate use of Safe Crisis Manage.
  • Support and promotes the Sanctuary Model and its Commitments.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.      


Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to compose basic correspondence such as memorandums, letters, or emails in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to speak clearly when interacting with others in person or while on the telephone.
  • Must be able to ask questions when assignments are unclear or ambiguous are unclear or ambiguous.
  • Working knowledge of all software applications used by the supported group.

Other Qualifications:

  • At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Criminal clearances (Act 33 and 34, specific state & child clearances and, if necessary, FBI).
  • Non-communicable diseases physical exam.
  • Valid driver's license from employees’ state of residence.
