Job Description



Summary

This position provides support to the clinical staff, facilitates educational and didactic sessions, maintains inmate attendance records for all program components and prepares and submit all reports as requested by the Program Director and Clinical Supervisor. 



Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participates in staff training.
  • Participates in program disciplinary activities for inmates.
  • Maintains inmate records storage area in a secure manner.
  • Assists in the development of inmate schedules.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements



Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in any unrelated area of study and one (1) year of professional experience in chemical addiction counseling and/or mental health counseling; or
  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in any of the social sciences; and six (6) months of professional experience in chemical addiction counseling and/or mental health counseling; or
  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in any unrelated area of study; and one (1) year of professional experience in chemical addiction counseling and/or mental health counseling; or
  • Certified Addictions Professional (CAP), Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional (CCJAP), Certified Associate Addictions Professional (CAAP), Certified Criminal Justice Associate Addictions Professional (CCJAAP); or
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of professional experience in chemical addiction counseling and/or mental health counseling; or
  • High School diploma or equivalent and six (6) years of professional experience in chemical addiction counseling and/or mental health counseling.
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
