Summary
This position assists in developing, organizing, and conducting programs to provide education for conditions and problems relating to drug and alcohol abuse. Conducts or assists in conducting individual or group counseling sessions and programs. Learns, uses and models principles of the “What Works” system through evidence-based practices in all interactions with clients and other staff members.
Our Facility, The Casper Residential Reentry Center, provides transitional housing and counseling services in a therapeutic community environment.
Our residents are mandated by the criminal justice system to successfully complete up to 12 months of substance abuse treatment.
Minimal Requirements
Must have a minimum of a Bachelor degree in Human Services, Addiction Studies or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
Licensed, provisionally licensed, or have completed the Bachelor’s level course requirements to become a licensed counselor in the state of Wyoming (LPC, LAT, LCSW, PAT, CAP, CSW) within 6 months of hire according to the rules and standards of the Mental Health Professionals Licensing Board of Wyoming.
Have a license or provisional license based upon credentials and experience gained in another State that is transferable according to the rules and standards of the Mental Health Professionals Licensing Board of Wyoming.
Possess and demonstrate excellent documentation and communication skills
Possess and demonstrate basic computer skills and operate associated software applications
