About The Role

  • Provides software testing support employing effective test methodology and automation.  Advocates the customer perspective on products to properly test all scenarios.  Serves as the primary interface to internal and external users, Software Development and external vendors on hardware and systems issues, test results and system requirements.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Assists with the testing life cycle, including creation of test scripts, regression/integration testing, defect management, and result reporting.
  • Assists with the creation of test cases and test scenarios.
  • Translates business requirements into test cases.
  • Designs automated benchmark tests to identify and log software problems and track software quality.
  • Participates in the design process to improve up-front code quality by serving on design and implementation teams for new products.
  • Reports on the status of testing activities and documents test results.
  • Coordinates issue resolution with engineering team.
  • Ensures that system and business requirements are met.
  • Provides training and documentation support for new products to internal customers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements



What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience required.
  • Technical training in Company software application and systems.
  • Technical training on Company hardware products.
  • Minimum two years of experience with testing methodologies.
  • Experience with iterative software development lifecycle methodology such as Agile.
  • Basic understanding of testing methodology.
  • Basic understanding of software methodology.
  • Basic understanding of iterative software development lifecycle methodology such as Agile.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technical concepts.
  • Basic understanding of product architecture.
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external contacts at all levels.
  • Excellent problem solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of relational database, SQL and web technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to pass a federal background check and obtain a suitability determination.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with regard to information stored in operational databases.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
