Responsible for managing the Agile scrum methodology across multiple development teams. Coach and champion scrum theory and practices in conjunction of delivering successful iterations and releases. Manage and facilitate ceremonies according to Agile.


What you'll be doing:

  • Responsible for managing the scrum process in alignment with Agile methodology.
  • Removes scrum team impediments.
  • Assist product owner with backlog management.
  • Responsible for daily stand-up meetings, product reviews, process retrospectives, sprint and release planning, and product demonstrations.
  • Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories etc.
  • Measures, tracks and communicates team velocity and sprint/release progress to stakeholders and management in order to provide visibility into overall project progress and status.
  • Serves as Agile champion and scrum team coach.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Scrum Master Certification preferred.
  • At least two years of scrum master experience working with agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.
  • At least six years of hands-on software development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules and practices.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with cross functional groups.
  • Ability to clearly and professionally communicate with business users, team members and management.
  • Ability to discuss technical issues with developers.
  • Proactive troubleshooting, listening, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
  • Ability to interact with a diverse population of both technical and non-technical employees.
  • US. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to pass a federal background check and obtain a suitability determination.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with regard to information stored in operational databases.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
  • Ability to pass a federal background check and obtain a suitability determination.
