Job Description

The GEO Group, Inc. is currently looking for a Recruiter to join its Corporate HR team in partnering with operational leaders to assist in recruiting efforts throughout the nation. We're looking for that individual who likes looking for the needle in the haystack; someone who can match the right needle to the perfect thread. We're looking for someone with strong organization skills, extensive sourcing experience and a deep passion for recruiting.

Recruiting Strategy

  • Research and recommend progressive and innovative recruiting sourcing techniques that will enhance overall organizational effectiveness and enhance the ability of the company and function to meet its strategic business goals.
  • Build and maintain a database of potential applicants for future hard to fill positions which provides the ability to match future Company needs to applicant desires.
  • Build a network of active and passive candidates to meet or exceed monthly and annual recruiting targets in the most efficient and effective manner possible.

Recruitment Activities

  • Screen active candidates to ensure they meet all criteria for position applied for before passing on to hiring manager.
  • Contact passive candidates through varied sourcing methods and provide them with information on potential employment opportunities at the GEO Group.
  • Build passive candidate network and continue to foster the candidate relationship until the correct job opportunity becomes available.
  • Execute leading sourcing practices to continually increase the number, speed and quality of hires.

Recruiting Leadership

  • Role model the appropriate candidate experience model and mentor Recruiting Coordinators to ensure a great candidate and Hiring Manager experience is provided.
  • Partner closely with the Senior Recruiter and the Director of Recruiting to facilitate the recruitment process for hard to fill positions to ensure compliance standards are met, and positions are filled in a timely manner.
  • Ensure policies, practices and procedures are administered in accordance with all applicable local, state and/or federal laws.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources or related field and three (3) years of professional recruiting experience or a high school diploma and five (5) years of progressive experience in a Recruiting or capacity.
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Ability to effectively talk to others to convey information.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Ability to identify the best people for the job.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
