Summary

Under close supervision, employee maintains orderly environment within assigned unit or area of facility by conducting standard operating procedures in accordance with facility policies/procedures and required Department of Corrections’ contractual obligations. Daily schedules are followed and employee serves as role model for residents.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting the Director in the development of new project expansion.
  • Serve as a liaison with state and county referral services.
  • Responsible for developing lines of communication with staff as well as current and potential referral sources.
  • Assist in maintaining certifications with licensing agencies and the Department of Corrections.
  • Implement all policies and procedures relative to facility and personnel.
  • Responsible for assisting the Director in the coordination of facility operational needs, and the direct supervision of maintenance.
  • Oversees all operations (security) staff scheduling and performance of duties.
  • Responsible for assisting the Director in the overall supervision and coordination of client transportation and transportation personnel.
  • Oversees urinalysis testing and direct line staff responsible for the collection, testing and results of urinalysis tests.
  • Develop and expand employment opportunities for residents.
  • Perform all other responsibilities as may be assigned relative to the position.

 

Job Requirements



Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of an Associate Degree in an appropriate discipline.
  • Degree requirement may be satisfied by completing a career development program that includes work-related experience, training, or college credits at a level of achievement equivalent to the associate’s degree.
  • Demonstrated administrative ability and leadership.
  • Knowledge of/experience working in correctional institutions
  • Ability to work effectively with residents and aid them in the re-entry process.
