Job Description


Conducts and coordinates internal and external training for Intensive Supervision Appearance Program (ISAP) employees and customers.  Provides input and feedback on training curriculum and design.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implements, administers and conducts core curriculum training for new employees, advanced job-related training and internal certification processes for ISAP staff.   
  • May create and post creative and engaging web-based training courses for basic certification requirements and annual refresher training for ISAP staff.
  • Provides feedback to the Training Manager on the effectiveness of training and input with recommendations for improvements.
  • Assists with the development of training courses and documents with input from Training Manager and senior level ISAP management to address identified training needs in the field.
  • Assists with the development of effective and appealing training materials for new products, software, contract modifications or other program initiatives in collaboration with the Training Manager and Marketing Department.
  • Assists the ISAP Regional Technology and Operations Managers with specific training requests from both customers and internal management staff, including on-line and/or on-site training at ERO agencies and field offices as needed.
  • Learns and maintains current knowledge on all ISAP related hardware and software systems by attending and participating in weekly meetings held by Development and Systems staff regarding new products and or existing product upgrades.
  • Develops and maintains annual training calendar.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field required or relevant experience in place of degree.
  • ISAP New Employee Training certification required or obtained within 90 days of employment.
  •  "Train the Trainer" or Adult Education training preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in training and/or public speaking.
  • At least one year working experience in an ISAP office or related case management experience preferred.
  • Ability to become proficient in allCompany products, software and hardware used in ISAP program.
  • Basic knowledge of Learning Management Systems and E-Learning course development.
  • Basic knowledge of ISAP III contract, SOP's and responsibilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Effective at handling or resolving conflict.
  • Ability to provide leadership and handle negativity in a training situation.
  • Initiative, flexibility, and change management skills.
  • Knowledge of adult learning processes.
  • Project management skills preferred.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) speaking abilities preferred.
  • US citizenship required.
  • Ability to pass a federal background check and obtain a suitability determination.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
