Summary

This position is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the graphic design, layout, and production processes including writing, editing, production, proofing, printing, graphic design and distribution of printed materials such as employee publications, the Annual Report, GEO’s website, marketing brochures, advertisements, and any other related items.

 



Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Designs and develops new, creative, and innovative ways to promote, communicate, and illustrate the organization’s uniqueness, capabilities, resources, and diversity in all forms of printed including proposals and marketing materials.
  • Manage GEO’s brand and identity standards by updating and administering content from the Corporate Identity Manual.
  • Assists in maintaining GEO’s website by determining the type of content, design, writing, and placement of information.
  • Assists management in developing new, dynamic marketing materials (i.e. brochures, PowerPoint presentations, advertisements).
  • Assists with production of quarterly employee publications. Edits content. Designs layout. Works with outside vendor to finalize and produce publication and ensures proper distribution.
  • Designs and develops graphic information for the organization’s Annual Report based on the CEO’s vision and direction. Assists Executive Vice President, Corporate Relations to ensure clear, concise and accurate reporting of data.
  • Develops concepts, designs, layouts, coordinates deadlines for advertising.
  • Creation of monthly email newsletters utilizing MailChimp.
  • Communicate with various departments and facilities throughout the company on design requests to fulfill specific needs and deadlines.
  • Serves as corporate photographer/videographer, when requested, to chronicle events and for use in various publications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements



Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a closely related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little direction as well as within a team setting. Ability to work with all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department including, but not limited to, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, In Design, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Lightroom), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work with Macintosh Computers


Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
  • Working knowledge of how to use a DSLR Canon camera
  • Working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS
  • Experience working with a production printing company
