Summary

This position reviews and analyzes the Company’s field technology infrastructure to maintain optimum and continuous services.  It also ensures that facilities are in compliance with Information Systems (IS) standards, policies and procedures.  Finally, it coordinates and implements technology requirements for present and future facility needs.

 



Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and ensures telecommunication projects including telephone and data system implementation and upgrades and ensures that end-user needs and solutions for the hardware/software systems are met for current and future needs.
  • Coordinates the ongoing maintenance of facility network systems including the installation of hardware and associated upgrades on voice, and data systems.
  • Troubleshoots WAN/LAN issues in conjunction with the internal operations and external vendors.
  • Monitors the operations of corporate and facility WAN systems by working with external vendors to ensure network performance and availability.
  • Coordinates network integration services due to company acquisitions or changing needs to support the business.
  • Tracks technology inventory for field.
  • Performs field needs assessments to determine technology requirements.
  • Works with field IS personnel to ensure that helpdesk-type tasks are handled locally and in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Works with internal and external customers to effectively manage IS operations in the field.
  • Makes recommendations for improvements and changes to software and local networks for the field.
  • Assists Facility Technology team with the evaluation of contracts and capital expenditures for phone, WAN and NOC.
  • Analyzes communications invoices for accuracy and takes corrective actions when necessary.
  • Provides assistance to management to maintain the relationship with all the phone and WAN system vendors including network monitoring services and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Reviews network management and security documentation to determine validity of processes and make any necessary process changes to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Provides 24 hour on-call support to respond to the Information Systems needs or issues of the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements



Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Business Administration or related field and five (5) years of experience in Information Systems/Technology management experience. (A high school diploma along with a demonstrated significant amount of progressively responsible experience in Information Systems/Technology management experience may be taken into consideration at management’s discretion).
  • Ability to travel between 25% and 50% of the time with frequent overnight stays.
  • Demonstrated network integration and project management skills to support Company acquisitions and constant changes inherent to a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Ability to review, plan and evaluate telecommunications and WAN systems.
  • Must possess solid PC, software and database skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data telecommunications concepts or principles used in management of company network systems.
  • Must be able to define risks and issues associated with enterprise information.
  • Extensive knowledge in the management of telecommunications and voice systems leading to successfully managing corporate/facility operations.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
