Compensation Base: $15.80 per hour

This is a direct care position that provides a range of services to youth participants in job preparation training and paid employment. Assists in all aspects of the Employment Initiative.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for case management duties in tracking and reporting client progress in the Employment Initiative.
  • Develops, initiates, and monitors individual action plans for clients in order to promote job success.
  • Collects client restitution when ordered by Juvenile Court and provides timely and accurate record keeping of all payments collected.
  • Submits monthly statistical narrative and provides required statistical reports.
  • Assist and/or facilitate Job Preparation Workshops.
  • Assist in recruitment of employment work sites.
  • Ensure that clients are job ready.
  • Attend staff meetings and all other professional meetings as necessary.
  • Supports the Abraxas philosophy and mission and promotes the Seven Key Principles of care.



Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • The following educational requirements are acceptable for this classification including:
  • High school diploma and minimum of three years of related experience in the juvenile field; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred and minimum of one year of related
    experience in the juvenile field; OR
  • Master’s degree in related field and minimum of six months related experience in the juvenile field.

Other Qualifications:

  • At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Criminal clearances (Act 33 and 34, specific State & child clearances and, if necessary, FBI).
  • Non-communicable diseases physical exam.
  • Valid driver's license from employee’s state of residence.
  • Valid registered vehicle insurance.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
