Summary

This position is responsible for leading issues of contract compliance for an assigned facility group and serves as a local liaison between operational staff, the assigned facilities and contract clients.  Functions include contract compliance support for the region and monitoring compliance with organizational policies and procedures, client policies and procedures, applicable state and federal laws as well as contractual agreements.  This position supervises compliance managers, develops and prepares compliance tracking reports and other contractual requirements, conducts precise compliance audits, and prepares formal audit reports and coordinates responses to client concerns.  Further, this position acts as a liaison between GEO facilities and the Corporate Office and works with contract clients to address compliance concerns and engender trust in client relationship with the organization. Supervisory responsibilities are inherent to the development of this position.

 



Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Effectively delivers department’s quality control plan and comprehensively manages audits of each U.S. Corrections ICE facilities at least quarterly to include follow up audits and ad-hoc audits as required.
  • Leads team of other subject matter experts to support department’s quality control efforts supporting ACA and PREA requirements. Incumbent trains, supervises, evaluates, and mentors subordinate staff.
  • Oversees the assigned group compliance process and ensures timely and high-quality reports are prepared.
  • Works with the facility and regional staff to prepare timely and high-quality responses to all ICE audits/findings/concerns.
  • Provides analysis of audit tools and related policies for development of effective audit instruments.
  • Oversees and directs accreditation requirements throughout area of responsibility in coordination with Directors of Accreditation and PREA. Works closely with Contract Compliance Directors assigned to each region.
  • Works with client monitoring and contract oversight staff as issues arise.
  • Works with colleagues in the assigned office to ensure applicable requirements are met and high-quality services are delivered.
  • Works with and develops the operational personnel, e.g., Compliance Administrators and Compliance Coordinators, to ensure all applicable standards are met within the assigned group.
  • Reads and interprets regulatory requirements, client contracts, and corporate policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements



Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with seven (7) years of progressive experience in Corrections, Law Enforcement or related field. (A high school diploma with additional higher-level courses and ten (10) years of progressive experience in the above fields may be substituted based on management’s discretion.) 
  • A minimum of two (2) years of department level supervisory experience is required.
  • Experience in management and administrative procedures, with exceptional writing skills and computer literacy.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality assurance typically shown through two (2) years of professional experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
  • Routine overnight travel is necessary.
  • Able to pass background investigation, drug screen and medical evaluation.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
