The candidate for this position counsels individuals or groups regarding psychological or emotional problems such as stress, substance abuse or family situations and develops and implements therapeutic treatment plans.

Typical duties include:

  • Interviews client, family members and agency staff members to obtain information for intake and residential treatment plans.
  • Participates and supervises clients in daily programmatic activities.
  • Assists in the direction of cross-disciplinary treatment team, conducts in-service training, conducts clinical consultations and adheres to regulatory compliance.
  • Plans and administers comprehensive observations, reports on treatment, behavior, diagnosis and progress of client.
     

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with CADC and experience in the juvenile justice field, OR
  • Associate's degree in related field and two (2) years experience in the juvenile justice field, prefer experience in the substance abuse field OR
  • BA / BS degree in related field and  one (1) year experience in the juvenile justice field, prefer experience in the substance abuse field OR
  • MA / MS degree in related field and six (6) months experience in the juvenile justice field, prefer experience in the substance abuse field.
  • Must be at least twenty one (21) years of age or older.
  • Possess a current and valid driver's license
  • Pass criminal background checks
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening.
