Summary

  • Work with members of the marketing and business development teams to strategize, execute, and manage the GEO Group tradeshow program and event promotion.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drives lead generation and ensures that events are successful based on identified business objectives. Promotes conference events through the internet, email and direct mail.
  • Facilitates cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure all event activities and results are communicated.
  • Plans and creates a successful booth presence. Coordinates all elements of each assigned trade show including show research, site planning, opportunity analysis, expense management, ROI analysis and reporting, ordering show services, overseeing logistics (on and offsite), and shipping coordination contract negotiations.
  • Negotiates and manages contracts for tradeshows, hotels, conference centers, advertising, and various types of vendors and suppliers.
  • Uses tools to analyze event leads and follow-up programs and evaluates and tests new ways to drive more leads and conversions.
  • Creates event promotional campaigns utilizing business development and communication skills.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements



Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or other related degree.
  • Three to five (3 – 5) years of experience in tradeshow, exhibit and event management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail needed to balance several projects simultaneously.
  • Strong negotiation skills required to secure space, services at or below market trends.
  • Understand the best ways to segment and leverage this asset to drive booth traffic and promote product and service offerings across our database to targeted groups.
  • Excellent decision making, planning and problem solving skills needed to manage projects through completion.
  • Strong analytical skills to design and develop effective programs to meet business needs.
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Ability to facilitate cross-functional team meetings - to include follow-up.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with others in a professional and tactful manner.
