Primary Purpose of Job:    

  • Under general supervision, employee responsible for delivery of the home confinement program services for an assigned caseload of federal offenders residing in a multi-state region. Ensures that all program services are delivered in accordance with  the Federal Bureau of Prisons Standards............as well as Company policies and procedures.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conducts resident assessments and creates and updates case records which include client residential location and living conditions, employment history/prospects; general psychosocial and criminal history with current status and ongoing treatment/follow-up plans;
  • Maintains positive relationships with local Job Service and other job referral agencies and community resources and acts as liaison with local employers;
  • Assists in developing structured programs for job search and job retention;
  • Develops individualized job search and retention plan for unemployed clients;
  • Counsels clients regarding community vocational and employment programs or facility job prospects;
  • Conducts random verification of job searches via site visits or telephone calls and records such in the client files noting any discrepancies; Ensures that client's employment is not related to past criminal activities;
  • Conducts on-site and telephone verifications of new employment as well as ongoing employment;
  • Records all employment information including job terminations m:client records;
  • Investigates irregularities or discrepancies in client employment hours versus paid hours as well asjob terminations
  • Conducts urine screenings and delivers specimens to centrally controlled location at the facility.

  • None
  • Level of Work (skill, responsibilities, working conditions):   Proficient in business writing.

 

Job Requirements

Job Specifications:  

Bachelor's degree in a related field and CADC Certified Alcohol and Drug Counsel  or either actively engaged in CADC certification program or bas Masters in Social Work. Minimum two years experience in corrections or long term residential environment preferred. Knowledge of computers..,a. nd word processing and spreadsheet software programs such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office.

 

Working Conditions:    

Working environment is generally favorable; there is the potential for adverse and/or hazardous events related to working with the clients. Facility located in an industrial area. Travel over 75% ofthe time within NJ, PA, NY, DE, CT, MD and other states as required.

Physical Requirements:

Position requires frequent sitting and driving to locations of clients. Lifting up to lOlbs. and intermittent standing and walking. Requires excellent visual and auditory acuity for interacting with and monitoring the clients' behavior. .
