Summary
This position provides a full range of counseling and case management services to the adult male population. The level of the employee in this classification is determined by program needs and employee qualifications.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates and implements case management activities.
- Develops and implements treatment plans.
- Provides individual counseling and completes related documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Provides group counseling and completes related documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Participates in and documents case consultations, including quarterly treatment reviews thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Writes progress or court reports as necessary and discharge summaries thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Maintains regular contact and communicates effectively with probation officers or case workers, including them in the treatment process and updating them on clients" progress.
- Provides continuing care planning by making contacts to appropriate referrals and writing the plan.
- Demonstrates appropriate use of CPI
- Performs other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and 24 credit hours of college education or accredited training program in substance abuse counseling and/or other human services area. CADC or CADC eligible
  • Higher education given preference
  • Required certifications or license preferred:
    • IAODAPCA certification CADC, or above. LSW, LCSW, LPC, or LCPC
  • Minimum experience required:
    • Two years paid work experience in a substance abuse, correctional, or other human services counseling position.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
