We are seeking an experienced Substance Abuse Group Therapist (CADC) for our Outpatient Program at Woodridge Interventions. The Group Therapist conducts group counseling sessions to provide education for conditions and problems relating to drug and alcohol abuse. May perform social service functions to include assisting clients in meeting their bio-psycho-social needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, and specialized clinical social services for patients receiving care.

This position will work Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Identification of treatment plan impairments based on assessment findings.
  • Provide age appropriate clinical interventions (individual, family, group therapy) to patients as determined by assessment.
  • Responsible for documentation in client medical record following each treatment intervention.
  • Responsible for case management of caseload and communication with all sources to ensure quality of care.
  • Initiates milieu structure within program.
  • Responsible for developing age appropriate interventions and special programs for specialized patient populations.

 

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum education
    • High school diploma or GED and thirty(30) credit hours of college education or accredited training program in substance abuse counseling and/or other human services area.
    • Higher education given preference
  • Required certification or license:
  • IAODAPCA certification CADC (CRADC/MISA I preferred), LSW, LCSW, LPC or LCPC.
  • Minimum experience required:
  • No Degree: Five (5) years paid work experience in substance abuse correctional, or other human service counseling position.

OR

  • Associate Degree: Four (4) years paid work experience in substance abuse, correctional, or other human service counseling position.

OR

  • Bachelors Degree: Three (3) years paid work experience in substance abuse, correctional, or other human services counseling position.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
