Under general direction of the Business Manager, this position performs financial activities and accounting functions, supervises accounting staff, performs difficult and complex statistical analyses and assists with annual budget preparation.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages and supervises daily operation of accounts payable, accounts receivable, business license, cash receipts, and general ledger.
  • Guides and supports staff in providing customer service.
  • Provides staff training and performs staff evaluations.
  • Manages staff daily workload, coordinates and reviews staff work.
  • Participates in the development of policies and procedures.
  • Plans, directs and coordinates work plan; assigns projects, programs and activities; reviews and evaluates work products, methods and procedures; identifies and resolves problems.
  • Prepares bank reconciliations, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets accounting, year-end closing entries and audit schedules.
  • Assists in oversight of internal control functions.
  • Assists in timely collection of Accounts Receivable.
  • Resolves escalated vendor issues and performs in-depth account analysis, serving as the liaison between Accounts Payable, Procurement, and suppliers.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements systems and procedural changes to improve efficiencies within the Business Department.
  • Assists in the preparation of the annual budget document, including compiling approved departmental expenditure budgets, revenue estimates and various narratives into the annual budget document.
  • Supports the company’s philosophy and mission and promotes the Seven Key Principles of care.
  • Communicates effectively such as using various communication systems effectively, maintains regular communication with employees, peers, and supervisors, and provides constructive feedback to employees, peers, and supervisors.
  • Maintains confidentiality of information as it relates to client information.
  • Implements and mentors employees regarding the company’s policies on professional expectations, code of conduct and other practices and procedures, serves as a role model for clients and employees and supports the company’s mission, goals and objectives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

* Associates degree in Accounting or Finance and four years related experience; Bachelor’s degree from in Accounting or Finance and two years related experience preferred.

* Prior supervisory or office management experience in a health care office setting preferred.

* Other Qualifications:

o At least twenty-one (21) years of age.

o Criminal clearances (Act 33 and 34, specific state & child clearances and, if necessary, FBI).

o Non-communicable diseases physical exam.

o Valid driver's license from employees’ state of residence.
