Benefits

Employee benefits play an important role in making The GEO Group a great place to work. At GEO, we believe in the three pillars of employee wellbeing: physical, emotional and financial; and trust that you will find all the resources you need here to be successful.

GEO recognizes that to achieve your personal best, you need a benefits program that is highly competitive and will help you build a solid foundation on which to balance the demands of work and life.

Medical

GEO’s medical benefits are designed to provide you with the flexibility to choose a plan that will best suit your needs and the needs of your family. We offer a selection of Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO Plans, two Cigna Preventive Plan Options and an additional Kaiser HMO plan in California and Colorado.

Dental

We make it easy to protect the smiles of you and your family members through our Delta Dental PPO Plan. The plan maximizes reimbursements, making complex dental treatments more affordable.

Vision

With the VSP Vision Plan, we offer coverage for eye exams, glasses and/or contacts to provide you with an array of affordable choices.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

You can take advantage of significant tax savings by participating in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA). There are four types of FSAs available:

Health Care FSA – Funds in a health care FSA can be used for qualified expenses including medical, dental and vision deductibles, co-payments and coinsurance.

Dependent Care FSA – This account allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for qualified dependent care expenses, allowing you and your spouse to work, look for work or attend school full time. Funds can be used to pay for day care, preschool, elderly care or other dependent care.

For additional savings, GEO contributes $250 annually to your dependent care account if you contribute a minimum of $1,000 annually.

Transit and Parking Accounts - You can pay for qualified commuting expenses with pre-tax funds, up to $265 per month. Funds in the account roll over month to month and can be used for subway, train or bus transportation to and from work or vanpool fees.

Qualified parking expenses, up to $265 per month, include parking at or near the office at meters, garages or lots, or parking at a commuter lot.

Voluntary Benefits

Voluntary benefits have become a way to address a host of employee needs, offer choice and allow you to personalize your benefit package. Voluntary benefits are in addition to your core health and retirement plans and are typically paid through payroll deduction.

GEO’s voluntary benefits include:

  • Life insurance for you and your family
  • Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D)
  • Short-Term Disability
  • Long-Term Disability
  • Critical Illness Insurance
  • Accident Insurance
  • Legal & Identity theft
  • Whole Life Insurance
  • Pet Insurance

401(k) Retirement Plan

No matter how far off retirement may seem, it’s never too early, or too late, to begin preparing for your future. GEO offers a 401(k) Plan that allows you to contribute a portion of your income with pre-tax (or after-tax Roth) dollars into a retirement investment account. 401(k) contributions are deducted from your paycheck and invested in the Plan as you have directed. Participating in the plan is easy and convenient and comes with a generous Company matching contribution at most locations. It is available immediately upon hire.
