Summary
In this role you will be delivering the academic, wellness, and physical components of a program to an assigned group of students and instructors. This candidate must be able to communicate nutrition and fitness principals by preparing lessons that promotes the students improved physical stature and delivers a holistic approach to wellness. Instructor will mentor and coach the individuals to a better wellness journey and individual health application.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains instructor monthly schedules.
- Keeps statistical data on attendance, participation and student and teaching hours.
- Assists in getting inmates to wellness classes.
- Oversees students during class.
- Teaches the program of wellness and physical exercise along with classroom instruction.
- Supports the program with outside resources to continue with life-long healthier choices.
- Maintains daily roster to fill classroom capacity.
- Escorts inmates to classes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
