Summary
This position is responsible for supervising the services provided by community-based staff members to meet the needs of our adult and juvenile clients in their communities. 


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervises the services provided by community-based staff members to meet the needs of our adult and juvenile clients in their communities
  • Provides oversight to the individual and group counseling services provided by staff and provides assistance as required.
  • Ensures contractual compliance and that all services are being provided in a professional manner.
  • Reviews case files for quality and timeliness and provides direction and assistance to other staff as needed. Reviews performance measures on a monthly basis. Address programmatic improvement needs directly with clinical staff members. Maintains confidentiality of information as it relates to client information
  • Evaluates and coordinates training needs and assists with ensuring training needs are met for regulatory compliance purposes.
  • Assists Program Director with developing program goals and objectives.
  • Assists Program Director with developing, updating and executing Corporate, Division and program specific policies in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Supervises, assists with hiring, and evaluates staff performance, develops measurable objectives for necessary improvements and implements appropriate corrective action to staff adhering to human resources policies and utilizing Human Resources when necessary.
  • Confers with local agencies to develop cooperative working relationships and develop programmatic activities and objectives to meet their needs.
  • Supports the Abraxas philosophy and mission and promotes the Seven Key Principles of care.
  • Demonstrates appropriate use of Safe Crisis Management techniques and skills.

 

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

The following education requirements are acceptable for this classification including:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and minimum of three (3) years of related experience in the juvenile field; OR
  • Master’s degree in related field and minimum of one (1) year related experience in the juvenile field.

Other Qualifications:

  • At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Criminal clearances (Act 33 and 34, specific State & child clearances and, if necessary,FBI).
  • Non-communicable diseases physical exam.
  • Valid driver's license from employee’s state of residence.
  • Valid registered vehicle insurance.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
