WoodridgeInterventions is seeking a full-time Peer Support, Recovery Assistant, Case Aide Monitor to work overnights at our substance abuse treatment programs at our Woodridge, IL facility.


                                                     ALL clients are MALE; must be able to address and manage negative client behavior.


                                       Monitors the collection of client urine specimens according to policy and procedures.

Oversees the safety and integrity of the unit at night while clients / residents are sleeping. Remains alert and responsive to the unit and clients / resident during sleeping hours and during morning wake up.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervise the behavior of clients in one of our multiple residential units.
  • Must remain fully alert, attentive and responsive during work hours.
  • Conducts nightly safety checks.
  • Conducts bed/body checks in not less than 15 minute intervals.
  • Documents unsafe conditions and notifies appropriate persons about these conditions.
  • Prepares daily and monthly reports regarding clients’ treatment progress.
  • Performs staff-on-duty responsibilities as assigned such as, initiating crises management and conflict resolution interventions; writing disciplinary and incident reports; and notifying appropriate staff of client’s disruptive behaviors, or potential threats of safety to others.
  • Utilizes crisis intervention techniques and is able to identify potential conflicts and intervene.
  • Uses appropriate terminology to accurately record incidents in patient records and shift reviews and complete such in a timely manner.
  • Maintains professional boundaries and identify issues related to them.
  • Adheres to confidentiality requirements.

Special Demands:
Ability to de-escalate patients that are agitated with potential for violence. Ability to perform a variety of activities in an atmosphere of change. Handle stressful situations calmly. Participates in the identification, stabilization and resolution of potential crisis. Must be able to identify when assistance is needed, and to secure assistance when needed.

This is considered a "contact" position in institutional setting; as such involves duties that have a potential for invading the privacy interests of the clients / residents.

Do you have experience performing the following duties:

  • Responds to issues in a professional manner utilizing approved de-escalation techniques
  • Initiate counts of residents at irregular and specific intervals
  • Conducts room checks to ensure clients are following established protocols
  • Completes daily shift reports and other documents as required
  • Escorts clients throughout the facility as required
  • Administers scheduled and/or random drug screening as required

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements: 

The following educational requirements are acceptable for this classification including:

  • High school diploma or GED; experience in addictions/behavioral health preferred.

Other Qualifications:

  • At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Criminal clearances and background check.
  • Valid driver's license from employee’s state of residence.
  • Valid registered vehicle insurance.
