Summary

This position provides administrative, systems, and technical support to facilities and programs for benefits, HR, and recruiting functions. This position is based out of the Pittsburgh Admin office and is primarily on-site; a hybrid/flexible work schedule may be available.



Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares and analyzes spreadsheets and reports to support HR functions to include benefits, compensation, HRIS, recruiting and workers’ compensation.
  • Collects and prepares weekly changes reports.
  • Assists with inputting personnel changes, including new hires, benefits, salary changes, performance ratings, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
  • Interprets HR policies and procedures and responds to employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures.
  • Supports the needs of field HR over the telephone or via e-mail; serves as a back-up when field HR is out of the office.
  • Completes new hire orientation to include onboarding, collecting I-9 and new hire paperwork, and completing new hire employee orientation training via Teams or telephone.
  • Maintains current and terminated employee personnel files.
  • Assists with performance review and merit increase process to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within program/facility.
  • Administers benefits paperwork and provides completed paperwork for medical, dental; vision, life, disability, and other benefits offered by the company.
  • Must have strong computer and organizational skills and be able to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Supports the Abraxas philosophy and mission and promotes the Seven Key Principles of Care.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • The following education requirements are acceptable for this classification including:
  • Associates degree in HR or business-related field and three years related experience; Bachelor’s degree in HR or business-related field preferred.     
    • Other Qualifications:
      • At least 21 years of age.
      • Pre-employment background checks (Criminal, Federal, State and, if necessary, Child Abuse), physical exam, and drug screen.
      • Valid driver's license from employee’s state of residence.
    • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
