About 

Responsible for functional support and the process management that surrounds Syteline core functionality including analyzing and improving processes that drive efficiency and effectiveness for the organization. This position will work with the business process stakeholders to improve processes and the technical team to implement Syteline ERP solutions.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyzes processes in place and provide recommendations based on best practice.
  • Trains super-users and end-users within various modules / departments.
  • Works directly with the IT department on various Syteline related projects and tasks.
  • Work with users on resolving and defining best practices.
  • Performs business process design and requirements definition in conjunction with functional teams.
  • Defines and documents requirements for process changes and development needs with necessary technical detail.
  • Analyzes and prioritizes enhancement requests by identifying existing solutions and/or alternative solutions that optimally address the business needs and work with technical resources to fulfill enhancement requests.
  • Conducts research and analysis on Infor enhancements and 3rd Party products that may add value to the business.
  • Communicates effectively with internal teams to deliver functional requirements.
  • Acts as a liaison between functional team and Product Owner for enhancements.
  • Provides functional requirements to Product Manager and perform QA testing of requested enhancements.
  • Provides support to systems users and work with technical team for break fixes.
  • Supports internal users as the data structure expert.
  • Assists in operational roll out and user training for new functionality & tools.
  • Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
  • Designs business processes by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
  • Improves systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.
  • Recommends controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures.
  • Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
  • Maintains system protocols by writing and updating procedures.
  • Performs and maintains system set-ups, configurations and parameter settings.
  • Assists in Data Mapping, System Integration and Interface design.
  • Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; Providing help desk support; training users.
  • Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Demonstrates commitment to Continuous Improvement philosophy including support of all quality, safety, productivity, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Identifies and leads or assists Kaizen Events for business activities.
  • Continuously explores potential improvements within all functional areas: finance, customer service, manufacturing, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least three (3) years of experience within a business analyst role.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in manufacturing, distribution or accounting/finance.
  • Working knowledge of core Syteline 8.03 or later functions, its various modules & their interaction is required.
  • Provides primary understanding to guide others in developing effective analysis tools.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • A team player who works with technical and non-technical resources.
  • Ability to take strategic direction from executive management.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
