The GEO Group, Inc. (GEO) is a world leader of government outsourced services specializing in the delivery of correctional and detention management, medical and mental health rehabilitation services, family and youth services, and other diversified services to federal, state and local government agencies around the globe.

In 1997, GEO branched into the residential health services arena with its wholly-owned subsidiary GEO Care, Inc. Since then, GEO Care has become an integral part of our business platform by establishing itself as a premier provider of mental health management and treatment services for civil, forensic, and special needs psychiatric patient populations

GEO Care provides high-quality, innovative and effective behavioral as well as other special needs health care. In an effort to promote recovery and empower the people we serve to acquire and use the skills and supports necessary to achieve maximum independence, success, and satisfaction. The formation of GEO Care is part of a planned program for diversification into businesses related to our core services and builds on our expertise in community-based residential re-entry services, residential treatment for youthful offenders, comprehensive correctional health care, including alcohol and drug dependency services, group and individual therapy, as well as other institutional health care programs.
